Ballindenisk Equestrian Centre in Watergrasshill [25 mins drive] where Robert and Joyce Fell
frequently host 2 day events over their extensive farmland. Lessons are available for
novices or experienced riders.
The Icelandic Stud
at Burncourt take out treks into the
Galtee mountains. [30 mins drive]
GOLF
Beautiful countryside provides an ideal setting for some 9 golf
courses within a 25 mile radius of us, including Fermoy, Lismore (9 hole), Mallow,
Mitchelstown, Cork, Dungarvan & Youghal. Weekends must generally be booked in advance.
Bookings can be made direct with the golf courses. Most courses
have resident professionals. Lesson availability & club hire should be checked in
advance.
WALKING
A series of marked countryside walks along the Avondhu
Way are now linked from Clogheen to Mallow. There are many relaxing walks available in the area, and others more
challenging too.
BEACHES
Uncrowded, safe, clean & sandy beaches are situated along the
coast from Dungarvan [35mins]to Cobh.
SEA ANGLING
Mackerel, bottom fishing or shark fishing. Good boats with tackle
provided are available at Dungarvan [35 mins] and Kinsale [55 mins].
HISTORIC & SCENIC IRELAND
The area has a wealth of interesting sites, and we have
reference and guide
books available to introduce you to the history of the nearby towns and villages.
